Hulihee Palace Paint-Out - Saturday

And a brave bunch we were - blustery weather, rain spitting from time to time, and a final downpour (by Kailua standards anyway) at 15 minutes before the bell (12 noon). A good turn-out given the circumstances, and more productive for me than the day before - glad i was painting in oils. Mahalos to Kailua Village Artists (especially Steve and Colleen), the Daughters of Hawaii, and the Friends of the Calabash, for making the Palace grounds available to us for these two days. I'll post instructions about getting the finished pieces to the appropriate place in the appropriate manner later.

The event proved that we are " . . . the few - the proud - the plein air . . ." - or something.
